Baylen by Jackiepoos

Format: Commander

Commander: Baylen, the Haymaker

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Naya token-swarm deck helmed by Baylen, the Haymaker, turning the game's most abundant resource - creatures - into mana, cards, and a lethal commander. The deck's primary plan is to flood the battlefield with token generators, then use Baylen's activated abilities to convert tokens into ramp, card draw, and +1/+1 counter buffs. The deck supports this with a heavy token-doubling package including Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, Ocelot Pride, and Elspeth, Storm Slayer. It can win through commander damage with a pumped-up Baylen, through Jetmir, Nexus of Revels-empowered alpha strikes, through Purphoros, God of the Forge and Throne of the God-Pharaoh drain, or through the alternate condition on Halo Fountain. The Aggravated Assault plus Baylen's token-to-mana ability acts as a compact extra-combat engine that can close out a game the turn it comes online.
