Deck overview

This deck is a toughness-matters build helmed by Arcades, the Strategist, turning the usually defensive world of walls into an aggressive, card-drawing machine. The primary game plan is to deploy a critical mass of defender creatures, use Arcades and other enablers like Assault Formation and High Alert to let them attack with their toughness, and generate overwhelming card advantage from Arcades's ETB draw trigger. The deck supplements this with a handful of stax pieces (Meekstone, Ensnaring Bridge) to stall opponents while building a board, and a single, fragile combo line involving Axebane Guardian to generate large mana. The win condition is almost entirely combat-based, using high-toughness creatures like Colossus of Akros or a pumped-up The Pride of Hull Clade to finish the game.
