Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai Mutate Voltron and Midrange Engine strategy commanded by Otrimi, the Ever-Playful. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap, evasive, or hexproof non-Human creatures on early turns, then mutating Otrimi and powerful mutate payoffs onto them. Mutating over creatures like Slippery Bogle, Silhana Ledgewalker, or Ukkima, Stalking Shadow grants the entire mutate pile built-in protection against targeted removal, allowing Otrimi to safely connect in combat and continuously recur mutate cards from the graveyard. The engine compounds rapidly with copy enablers like Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief and Vesuvan Duplimancy, which duplicate mutate spells and double triggers. Explosive turns driven by Auspicious Starrix and table-wide drain from Insatiable Hemophage apply immense pressure, while a resilient package featuring Brokkos, Apex of Forever allows the deck to rebuild quickly after disruption. The deck steadily eliminates opponents across sequential combat rotations while holding interactive interaction like Fierce Guardianship and Cyclonic Rift.
