Trance Revival by Banjo

Format: Commander

Commander: Celes, Rune Knight

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Celes, Rune Knight is a Mardu reanimator-combo deck. Its primary plan uses Celes's enter trigger as a discard-and-draw engine, pitching a persist creature, then reanimating it so Celes's second trigger adds a +1/+1 counter that cancels persist's -1/-1 counter and enables an infinite sacrifice loop with a sac outlet and a payoff such as Blasting Station, Goblin Bombardment, or Altar of Dementia. Secondary lines are Abdel Adrian plus Animate Dead for infinite Soldier/ETB loops, and a Razaketh/Sun Titan/Sephiroth tutor-and-reanimate beatdown plan. There is no hidden commander; Abdel Adrian is a non-commander combo piece. Celes is both the draw engine and the enabler of the primary combo.
