Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx typal midrange strategy centered on The Ur-Sphinx. It uses cost-reducing artifacts, Medallions, and the commander's eminence ability to deploy large, evasive flying creatures ahead of schedule. The deck transitions from early mana acceleration and pillowfort enchantments into dominant mid-game card advantage engines led by Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign and Consecrated Sphinx. Once a critical mass of Sphinxes enters the battlefield, the deck leverages combat damage, life-setting effects like Magister Sphinx, and free spells cast from combat triggers to eliminate opponents. A comprehensive suite of instant-speed interaction, asymmetric sweepers, and protective spells ensures that the board state remains protected while maintaining board control and grinding out a definitive aerial victory.
