The Lord of the Eagels by Gibbarius

Format: Commander

Commander: The Lord of the Eagles

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue flying-tribal tempo deck built around The Lord of the Eagles, a flash 8/8 that discounts itself by the total power of your flyers. The plan is straightforward: deploy a board of evasive Birds, Drakes, and Sphinxes, attach combat-damage draw engines like Bident of Thassa and Coastal Piracy, chip in damage, and then slam the commander for a heavily discounted price to close games. The deck leans on cost reducers (Warden of Evos Isle, Kefnet's Monument, Sapphire Medallion) and premium draw (Consecrated Sphinx, Enduring Curiosity) to keep the gas flowing. Wins come from combat damage amplified by Favorable Winds, Gravitational Shift, and Windstorm Drake, with a potential Peregrine Drake untap loop as a value engine. It is a midrange aggro build that trades tutors for redundancy and relies on its commander mainly as a finisher rather than an engine.
