Deck overview

This deck harnesses Karolina Dean, Runaway to generate {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} during each precombat main phase. Because this mana cannot be spent to cast spells from hand, the list channels it directly into the activated transformation abilities of double-faced legendary Human heroes and villains. Early acceleration from 0-to-2 CMC mana pieces ensures Karolina enters the battlefield by Turn 3. On Turn 4, her mana burst transforms heavy hitters like Bruce Banner, Miles Morales, and Eddie Brock. By Turn 5, the deck attacks with massive flying, trample, and menace threats enhanced by Leonardo, the Balance and counter multipliers. A surprise Moonmist can flip an entire army of Human legends at instant speed for just two mana. Robust protection spells such as Teferi's Protection, Fierce Guardianship, and Jennifer Walters protect the board, allowing the deck to eliminate all three opponents across Turns 5 through 7.
