Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black spellslinger control build led by Fandaniel, Telophoroi Ascian. The strategy centers on loading the graveyard with instant and sorcery cards through cheap removal, cantrips, and self-mill, converting Fandaniel's end-step trigger into a lethal attrition and burn engine. Early turns establish mana acceleration and filter cards to build graveyard critical mass. Once Fandaniel enters on Turn 4 or 5, opponents face a severe choice each end step: sacrifice a nontoken creature or suffer heavy life loss scaled to the number of spells in your graveyard. Premium removal and board wipes like Toxic Deluge and Sheoldred's Edict clear opposing boards of sacrifice fodder, ensuring the life-drain trigger connects directly. In the late game, big mana engines like Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast fuel decisive finishers such as Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate to eliminate the table.
