Deck overview

This Golgari deck is an aggressive tribal strategy led by Chief of the Wilds. The commander acts as both a rapid +1/+1 counter threat and an ability multiplier, doubling every triggered ability from other Wolves you control. The game plan focuses on deploying early mana acceleration and efficient Wolf creatures to establish an expansive, synergistic board. Mid-game engines like Tovolar's Huntmaster, Master of the Wild Hunt, and Garruk, Cursed Huntsman flood the battlefield with Wolf tokens while generating substantial card draw and board control. The deck closes games through powerful combat overruns such as Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, and Beastmaster Ascension, which convert wide token boards and a massive commander into lethal combat steps. Flexible Golgari removal spells keep opposing threats in check, while targeted protection spells guard against board wipes.
