Deck overview

This Boros deck executes a potent Stax-Aggro strategy led by Winota, Joiner of Forces. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap 0- to 2-drop non-Human creatures in the early turns, establishing asymmetric hatebears, and resolving Winota on Turn 4. When non-Humans attack, Winota digs six cards deep per attacker to cheat powerful Human creatures directly onto the battlefield tapped, attacking, and indestructible. The stax package—featuring Archon of Emeria, Eidolon of Rhetoric, Deafening Silence, and Magus of the Moon—chokes opponent spellcasting and manabases, creating severe asymmetry since Winota puts creatures into play without casting them. Payoffs like Blade Historian and Angrath's Marauders multiply combat damage exponentially, while Grand Abolisher and Mother of Runes safeguard key attack steps. The deck can also pivot into a deterministic infinite combo using Splinter Twin with Zealous Conscripts or Village Bell-Ringer.
