Deck overview

This Sultai self-mill deck helmed by Teval, the Balanced Scale weaponizes the graveyard as a second hand. The primary game plan is to mill aggressively, then exploit land recursion and token generation to outpace opponents. Commander Teval provides a steady stream of Zombie Druid tokens whenever cards leave the graveyard, while also enabling extra land drops from the graveyard on each attack. The deck is a value engine that can pivot between infinite combos, an overrun finish with Craterhoof Behemoth, or the classic Dark Depths/Thespian's Stage surprise. Key engines include The Gitrog Monster, Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, Six, and Muldrotha, the Gravetide for relentless recursion. The win is typically assembled through a Gravecrawler/Phyrexian Altar/Blood Artist loop or by reanimating a massive board.
