Deck overview

Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow leads a high-tempo Dimir aggro-control deck that converts evasive combat connections into massive, table-wide life loss and relentless card advantage. By deploying cheap, unblockable one-drop creatures on Turn 1, the deck reliably uses Commander Ninjutsu to cheat Yuriko into play on Turn 2 for a fixed {U}{B} cost, completely ignoring the commander tax. Yuriko's triggered ability reveals the top card of the library upon combat damage, putting that card into hand while burning every opponent for its mana value. The deck maximizes this damage by manipulating the top of the library with cards like Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, and Sensei's Divining Top to reveal high-cost spells such as Shadow of Mortality and Temporal Trespass. Backed by a strong package of free countermagic and targeted removal, the deck defends its board while quickly draining the entire pod in tandem.
