Deck overview

This deck is an aristocratic attrition powerhouse led by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER. The strategy focuses on sacrificing recursive creatures and disposable tokens to generate immense card advantage, control opposing boards, and drain opponents' life totals. Sephiroth acts as a self-contained engine, drawing cards upon attacking and draining 1 life whenever another creature dies. Once four creatures die in a single turn, Sephiroth transforms into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel, granting a permanent, unremovable Super Nova emblem that continuously drains opponents for the rest of the game. The deck locks down creature-based decks using asymmetric sacrifice effects like Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, and a dense suite of Fleshbag Marauder variants. It then closes games on Turn 7 through explosive drain multipliers like Tombstone Stairwell, high devotion bursts from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or massive mana into Torment of Hailfire. While vulnerable to mass graveyard exile and stack-based combo wins, the deck possesses exceptional resilience, fast engine recovery, and crushing board control.
