Deck overview

This Dimir deck is commanded by Marvo, Deep Operative, focusing on winning clashes during combat to cheat high-cost spells into play for free. The deck leverages top-deck manipulation tools like Brainstorm, Scroll Rack, and Insidious Dreams to guarantee high mana values on top of the library. Once Marvo attacks, it triggers clash, draws a card, and casts an 8-mana game-ender such as Breach the Multiverse, Aminatou's Augury, Spawning Kraken, or Archon of Cruelty. Asymmetric sweepers like Whelming Wave and Slinn Voda, the Rising Deep clear opposing boards while sparing the deck's Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents. Protected by free countermagic like Fierce Guardianship and equipment like Lightning Greaves, the deck quickly converts cheated mana advantage into overwhelming combat damage to close out the game by Turn 7.
