Animar, Soul of Elements by lazerx8989

Format: Commander

Commander: Animar, Soul of Elements

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a creature-combo deck helmed by Animar, Soul of Elements, built to exploit its cost reduction to chain cheap creatures, accumulate +1/+1 counters, and then assemble an infinite ETB loop with Ancestral Statue. The loop is paid off by Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, Warstorm Surge, or Ingenious Artillerist to drain the table. The deck also packs a formidable Eldrazi secondary plan-Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, It That Betrays-that can be cast for heavily reduced mana once Animar is large. The primary win condition is the infinite combo, but the Eldrazi provide a resilient beatdown alternative when the combo is disrupted.
