MonGoon Mage by zytel

Format: Commander

Commander: Ral, Monsoon Mage // Ral, Leyline Prodigy

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Ral, Monsoon Mage leads a high-velocity Izzet storm deck designed to assemble fast spell loops and burst wins. Ral functions as a low-cost ramp engine on his front face, reducing instant and sorcery costs while threatening to flip into Ral, Leyline Prodigy with massive loyalty on explosive turns. The deck wins by chaining rituals and impulse draw spells into Underworld Breach lines. Once Underworld Breach is active, recurring Brain Freeze and Lotus Petal quickly mills the library to execute a lethal storm finish via Grapeshot or deck out opponents. Alternative wins utilize Reiterate with mana rituals or Birgi, God of Storytelling.
