Deck overview

This Gruul Dragon Tribal deck pairs Ganax, Astral Hunter with the Background Acolyte of Bahamut to accelerate high-impact Dragons into play. In the opening turns, the deck deploys early ramp and casts Acolyte of Bahamut on turn 2. This enables Ganax, Astral Hunter on turn 4, immediately generating a Treasure token. Once both commanders are active, the deck casts its first Dragon each turn at a two-mana discount while gaining extra Treasure tokens. Starting on turn 5, the deck deploys massive threats like Atarka, World Render, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Scourge of Valkas. It turns these aerial threats into lethal pressure using haste enablers like Dragon Tempest and damage multipliers like Thrakkus the Butcher or Unnatural Growth. While the deck features robust mana velocity and high creature redundancy, it relies on combat damage to win over multiple turns and remains vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers.
