Deck overview

This Boros Equipment Voltron deck uses the partner pair of Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist and Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh to create an explosive, fast-starting combat threat. Rograkh costs zero mana and enters with first strike, menace, and trample, providing a ready-made combatant. Ardenn circumvents the mana-intensive equip costs of massive weapons such as Colossus Hammer, Blackblade Reforged, and Hulkbuster Armor by attaching them for free at the start of combat on Turn 3. The deck seeks to eliminate opponents in rapid succession through lethal commander damage while protecting its threats with spells like Conqueror's Flail, Boromir, Warden of the Tower, and instant-speed indestructible effects. A secondary suite of cost-cheating enablers—including Puresteel Paladin, Forge Anew, and Bruenor Battlehammer—ensures reliable execution even if Ardenn is removed. While vulnerable to prolonged multi-turn exposure and exile sweepers, the deck delivers high speed and consistent early pressure.
