Deck overview

Grist, the Hunger Tide is the deck's central engine rather than a fast kill. The plan is to turn Grist's +1 into Insect tokens and self-mill, use those tokens for sacrifice and combat, then finish through Grist's -5 ultimate or a large deathtouch swarm while Syr Konrad and Aatchik convert graveyard events into life loss. Zask, Skittering Swarmlord and the backup DFC Grist, Voracious Larva // Grist, the Plague Swarm provide graveyard recursion and a second Grist-related finisher. There is no real hidden commander; the DFC is best treated as a backup copy. This is a grinder that wins through attrition, not a fast combo deck.
