Where there’s Smaug there’s fire by blakeerickson

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable commands a Rakdos burn and Treasure storm deck designed to turn self-inflicted damage into overwhelming mana and direct lethality. Because Smaug is indestructible and generates Treasure whenever he takes noncombat damage, you can target your own commander with damage spells like Fire Covenant, Self-Destruct, or Star of Extinction to produce massive bursts of mana. You then channel those Treasures through pingers like Mayhem Devil, Reckless Fireweaver, and Nadier's Nightblade, or pour mana into lethal finishers like Crackle with Power and Exsanguinate. Alternate lines leverage Brash Taunter and Dawnsire, Sunstar Dreadnought to reflect enormous damage directly into opposing life totals.
