Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis combat and discard-burn engine commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. It develops on-curve mana rocks and low-cost Villain creatures during the early turns before casting Doctor Doom on Turn 4. Once assembled, Doom provides reliable combat connive triggers that loot through the library, grow attacking Villains, and burn opponents for 2 life whenever land cards are discarded. In the midgame, compounding payoffs such as Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, Ultron, Unlimited, and Cool but Rude turn every discard and connive into widespread +1/+1 counters, token armies, and direct damage. The deck backs up its proactive creature pressure with a potent Grixis interaction and protection suite featuring Fierce Guardianship, Change of Plans, and Toxic Deluge, steadily closing out games on Turn 8 through evasive menace swings and non-combat life drain.
