Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros Voltron and Equipment strategy led by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning functions as a potent offensive commander, combining first strike, trample, and lifelink with her Stagger ability, which doubles all damage dealt to an opponent once she connects. The deck accelerates into combat using dedicated low-cost equipment tutors such as Steelshaper's Gift and Open the Armory, alongside cost-cheating engines including Puresteel Paladin, Forge Anew, and Kíli the Resourceful. High-yield weapons like Colossus Hammer, Buster Sword, and Sword of Feast and Famine turn Lightning into a rapid lethal threat capable of eliminating players in single attacks. Robust protection spells like Mother of Runes, Boros Charm, and Restoration Magic defend the board against removal. In late-game scenarios, the deck seamlessly transitions into game-ending combat chains with Aurelia, the Warleader or assembles the infinite combat loop of Godo, Bandit Warlord and Helm of the Host to eliminate the entire table.
