Armies of Gorgoroth (New - Deckcheck) by user3830217

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis amass deck built around Sauron, the Dark Lord. The primary plan is to create and grow a single Army token with amass spells, double its counters with Mauhur, and turn every noncreature spell into additional amass via Saruman, the White Hand, who acts as the hidden commander. Sauron is the draw engine and secondary clock: his attack trigger tempts the Ring, letting you discard a dead hand and draw four. The deck wins through trample or unblockable combat, supplemented by The Great Goblin pings, Living Death recursion, and In the Darkness Bind Them theft. It is a midrange value deck with strong interaction but no fast combo finish.
