Deck overview

Led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian, this Bant midrange deck focuses on +1/+1 counter distribution, proliferate mechanics, and overwhelming combat pressure. In the early game, the deck accelerates mana with efficient ramp and establishes low-cost counter generators like Hardened Scales and Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte. Once Tidus enters the battlefield, combat attacks immediately trigger Cheer, drawing cards and proliferating counters across the entire squad. As the game develops, scaling threats like Forgotten Ancient, Sazh Katzroy, and Maester Seymour swell into massive attackers, while evasion enablers like Duskshell Crawler and Chocobo Knights turn raw power into decisive table-wide damage. The deck defends its board with resilient protection spells including Inspiring Call, Protection Magic, and Luminous Broodmoth, and clears opposing blockers with asymmetric sweepers like Damning Verdict. While vulnerable to mass exile effects and lacking fast infinite combos, the deck generates compounding card advantage and board presence to close games steadily through combat.
