Deck overview

This Mardu deck is helmed by Vihaan, Goldwaker, converting accumulated Treasure tokens into an aggressive, versatile army of 3/3 Construct Assassin creatures with vigilance and haste. The strategy rapidly amasses Treasures using efficient token generators like Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, Professional Face-Breaker, Grim Hireling, and Smothering Tithe. Because Vihaan grants vigilance to outlaw creatures, animated Treasures can attack for substantial combat damage while remaining untapped and ready to be sacrificed for mana or reactive spells. A dense suite of tutors reliably finds supporting multipliers like Mondrak, Glory Dominus and Academy Manufactor, or lethal aristocrat drain pieces like Mirkwood Bats and Mayhem Devil. Backed by high-efficiency removal, free spells like Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick, and asymmetric board wipes such as Ruinous Ultimatum, the deck applies immense mid-game pressure and reliably closes games by Turn 6.
