Deck overview

This deck is an Esper lifegain control strategy helmed by Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. It leverages Oloro's eminence ability to gain 2 life each upkeep without ever needing to leave the command zone, fueling powerful life-payment and trigger-based engines. In the early game, the deck establishes defensive pillowfort pieces like Blind Obedience, Propaganda, and Ghostly Prison alongside Soul Sisters and incremental card draw. In the midgame, it controls the board through high-efficiency spot removal and sweepers such as Toxic Deluge and Farewell. The primary route to victory is assembling an infinite life-drain loop using Exquisite Blood combined with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Secondary win conditions include laser bursts from Aetherflux Reservoir, storming with Bolas's Citadel, or upkeep triggers from Felidar Sovereign and Test of Endurance.
