Deck overview

This is a mono-black Demon tribal midrange deck helmed by Varragoth, Bloodsky Sire. The plan is to land Varragoth early, attack to Boast-tutor critical pieces on top of the library, then deploy a critical mass of high-impact Demons under cost reduction from Heartless Summoning and Jet Medallion. Primary wins come from Liliana's Contract (four differently named Demons at upkeep), stacked life-loss multipliers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz plus Archfiend of Despair, and overwhelming combat with flying Demons after one-sided wipes such as Kindred Dominance. Secondary axes include resource denial via Contamination, library exile with Doomsday Excruciator, and raw drain from Seizan, Perverter of Truth and Vilis, Broker of Blood. Varragoth is the command-zone tutor engine that stitches the high curve together, but the 99 contains enough Demons, tutors, and finishers to execute without him.
