This Esper spellslinger control deck leverages Y'shtola, Night's Blessed as an explosive life-draining card advantage engine. By accelerating into Y'shtola on Turn 3 with two-mana artifacts, the deck attaches damage-trigger auras like Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Sigil of Sleep to turn every 3+ mana value noncreature spell into a massive tempo swing: burning each opponent for 2 damage, gaining 2 life, and drawing three cards or bouncing three opposing creatures. Backed by a dense suite of premier counterspells and removal—many of which untap lands or cost zero mana—the deck establishes oppressive board control while rapidly digging into its primary win condition: the infinite combo of Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank.
