Deck overview

Doctor Doom, King of Latveria leads a Grixis Villain typal deck centered on connive triggers, combat pressure, and incremental discard drain. The strategy focuses on curving out thematic Villain creatures, accelerating mana with early rocks, and deploying the commander on Turn 4 to immediately trigger combat conniving. As the board expands with synergy engines like Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, Ultron, Unlimited, and Madame Hydra, repeated connive triggers filter card quality, distribute +1/+1 counters, and burn opponents whenever lands are pitched. The deck pivots into a decisive combat clock around Turn 6, using evasive beaters boosted by anthems such as The Squadron Sinister and asymmetric sweepers like Kindred Dominance to close out the game by Turn 8. While the deck boasts flexible spot removal and efficient board wipes, it lacks stack-based countermagic and relies heavily on permanent-based board presence to win.
