Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue Wizard tribal combo-control list commanded by Azami, Lady of Scrolls. The primary game plan revolves around deploying inexpensive utility Wizards on early turns to establish an insurmountable card-advantage engine once Azami enters the battlefield. With Azami turning every Wizard into repeatable instant-speed card draw, the deck rapidly digs through its library while holding up efficient countermagic and spot disruption. The primary victory condition utilizes Mind Over Matter to loop card draws and untap effects, generating surplus mana and concluding with Thassa's Oracle to win with an empty library on Turn 6. Additionally, the deck contains compact backup win conditions including Isochron Scepter imprinting Dramatic Reversal, as well as Paradigm Shift or Thought Lash paired with Thassa's Oracle or Laboratory Maniac. Strong defensive tools like Cavern of Souls, Force of Will, and Back to Basics ensure steady board control while executing combo lines.
