Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Treasure midrange deck helmed by Kalain, Reclusive Painter. The plan is to flood the board with Treasure tokens, cast creatures using that Treasure mana so Kalain's static ability stacks +1/+1 counters on them, and convert the resulting artifact churn into life-drain and combat pressure. Primary wins come from go-wide pumped attackers, sacrifice-triggered drain engines (Mayhem Devil, Mirkwood Bats, Disciple of the Vault, Nadier's Nightblade, Marionette Apprentice), and the alternate win condition Revel in Riches. Secondary angles include Alchemist's Talent level-3 burn, Magda, Brazen Outlaw tutoring fat artifacts, and big one-shot Treasure dumps like Brass's Bounty or Blood Money. Kalain is a cheap value engine and counter enabler but is not required for the Treasure or drain plan to function.
