Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet Spellslinger Burn strategy built around Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph. The deck leverages Ghyrson's Three Autostubs ability, which adds 2 damage whenever another source deals exactly 1 damage to any permanent or player. By combining cheap noncreature pingers like Firebrand Archer, Kessig Flamebreather, and Coruscation Mage with low-mana cantrips, the deck turns routine spellcasting into explosive, simultaneous burns across all three opponents. Modest 1-mana sweepers such as Blazing Volley, End the Festivities, and Tectonic Hazard transform into one-sided board wipes dealing 3 damage to every opposing creature and planeswalker. Card flow engines like Rhystic Study and The Theorist, Jace Beleren keep the hand fueled, while counterspells and equipment like Lightning Greaves defend the commander. The deck reliably assembles its engine by Turn 4, threatens critical lethal onset on Turn 5, and closes out the table around Turn 7.
