Deck overview

The Serpent Society is a Golgari aristocrats/control deck built around its commander, The Serpent Society, which turns every deathtouch creature death into a repeatable edict that forces each opponent to sacrifice a nontoken creature. The deck combines a dense suite of deathtouch creatures (Fynn, the Fangbearer, Hooded Blightfang, Ohran Frostfang, Hornet Queen, etc.) with token generators like Ophiomancer and Awakening Zone to fuel sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. Drain effects (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, The Meathook Massacre) turn each death into life loss for the whole table, while recursion pieces (Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Cauldron of Essence, Phyrexian Reclamation) keep the engine running. Poison is a secondary win condition via Fynn, the Fangbearer and Venerated Rotpriest. The deck aims to control the board through deathtouch blockers, force sacrifices, and eventually drain out all opponents.
