Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mono-Green Stompy strategy commanded by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana on Turn 1 and deploying severely undercosted, high-power creatures like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Rhonas the Indomitable on Turns 2 and 3. Reaching 10 to 12 total creature power allows Ghalta to enter the battlefield as early as Turn 4 for as little as {G}{G}. Once deployed, Ghalta fuels explosive draw engines such as Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise. The deck closes games through massive trample damage amplified by overrun effects including Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth. While exceptionally fast at building a lethal board state, the deck relies on combat damage across multiple opponent turns and is vulnerable to well-timed creature sweepers.
