Commander: Kodama of the East Tree and Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Gruul landfall deck pairs Kodama of the East Tree and Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith as partner commanders to create a relentless value engine. The strategy revolves around playing multiple lands per turn, triggering landfall abilities that generate tokens, card advantage, and direct damage. Kodama of the East Tree chains permanents from hand onto the battlefield, while Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith provides reusable Rock tokens. The primary win condition is overwhelming combat damage through token swarms (Avenger of Zendikar, Scute Swarm) and extra combat steps from Moraug, Fury of Akoum. Secondary damage comes from pinging landfall creatures like Sabotender and Valakut Exploration. The deck has strong land recursion and ramp but lacks traditional interaction and combo protection.
