Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Golgari token and goad strategy commanded by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest. The deck is built around multi-type cards—including artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, artifact lands, and kindred spells—to trigger Rendmaw repeatedly. Each trigger gives every player a 2/2 black Bird token that is goaded for the rest of the game. While opponents are forced to attack each other in the air, the pilot leverages aristocrat and token engines such as Blood Seeker, Mirkwood Bats, and Chatterfang, Squirrel General to drain life totals and amass a dominant board state. Card advantage engines like Baba Lysaga, Night Witch and Pygmy Kavu convert the multi-type board and opponents' black Birds into massive card draw.
