Deck overview

This Simic Spellslinger deck leverages Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student as an early value engine and card-advantage centerpiece. By transforming Tamiyo into Tamiyo, Seasoned Scholar on turns 2 to 3 using efficient cantrips, the deck establishes early planeswalker board presence, blunts opposing creature pressure, and recurs key interaction. The primary victory condition is an efficient storm combo assembled via wizardcycling and spell tutors: Valley Floodcaller combined with Retraction Helix and a 0-mana or mana-positive artifact like Everflowing Chalice or Sol Ring. This generates infinite spell casts, infinite untaps, and massive stat boosts, culminating in a same-turn table kill with Brain Freeze or by bouncing all opposing boards. Backed by cheap countermagic, flash timing, and secondary proliferate/poison lines, the deck presents a resilient control shell with a fast, compact win condition.
