Deck overview

Hawkeye, Young Avenger headlines a mono-red burn and spellslinger deck engineered to convert small instances of noncombat damage into catastrophic table-wide life loss. The strategy functions around Hawkeye's static ability, which adds its power to every instance of noncombat damage dealt to opponents and their permanents. By pairing cheap power-boosting spells like Infuriate and Brute Force with multi-target burn spells such as End the Festivities and Boltwave, the deck turns low-cost cantrips and pingers into devastating asymmetric board wipes and rapid life-drain bursts. An unusually deep suite of instant-speed redirection spells—including Bolt Bend, Chef's Kiss, and Return the Favor—defends Hawkeye by turning opposing spot removal back against its casters. Explosive backup engines like Virtue of Courage, Neheb, the Eternal, and Toralf, God of Fury ensure massive card impulse and mana acceleration to close games out swiftly across all three opponents.
