Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger control and burn strategy led by Keranos, God of Storms. It functions by establishing early cost-reduction engines and pinger permanents, then chaining efficient cantrips and instant-speed interaction to maintain card flow and control opposing boards. Keranos, God of Storms provides an indestructible, steady source of incremental card draw and noncombat burn from the command zone, ensuring steady gas without drawing excessive removal. The deck accelerates through a dense suite of mana rocks and cost reducers like Goblin Electromancer and Case of the Ransacked Lab, digging into high-impact payoffs such as Thousand-Year Storm, Veyran, Voice of Duality, Niv-Mizzet, Parun, and Solphim, Mayhem Dominus. Victory is achieved either through a massive Turn 7 storm turn that copies lethal burn spells across the table, or via an infinite copy loop with Ral, Storm Conduit and Expansion // Explosion. Robust countermagic and efficient creature removal protect the engine while disrupting opposing strategies.
