Deck overview

This Edgar Markov deck executes an aggressive tribal and aristocrats strategy that capitalizes on eminence to generate free 1/1 Vampire creature tokens on every Vampire cast. By deploying low-cost Vampires in the early turns, the deck rapidly establishes a wide board presence without expending extra mana. It converts this token army into decisive resource advantages using engines like Skullclamp and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, or transforms them into lethal threats via tribal lords and global damage sources like Purphoros, God of the Forge and Warleader's Call. As the game progresses, it threatens opponents with large combat attacks led by Edgar Markov or devastating aristocrat drain loops from cards like Cruel Celebrant and Bastion of Remembrance. In addition to combat pressure, the deck contains an infinite two-card combo between Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose to close games immediately. Flexible removal and asymmetric stax pieces like Grave Pact keep opposing threats managed throughout.
