Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on converting high-power creatures into wide armies of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck utilizes a dense package of tribal lords including Death Baron, Lord of the Undead, and Undead Warchief to amplify token power, while aristocrat payoffs like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Bontu's Monument punish opponents whenever creatures enter or die. Heavy mana curves are supported by a solid 39-land base and standard mana rocks. Standalone threats like Grave Titan, Army of the Damned, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel ensure the deck can apply critical pressure even if the commander is removed. While the deck boasts immense board presence, resilient death triggers, and strong creature removal, it lacks stack interaction, artifact answers, and dedicated protection spells for its key permanents.
