Deck overview

This is a Golgari +1/+1 counters deck fused with an aristocrats sacrifice engine, helmed by Jenova, Ancient Calamity. Jenova is a hybrid value engine and pump piece: each combat she dumps a pile of +1/+1 counters equal to her power onto one other creature and turns it into a Mutant, and every Mutant that dies during your turn draws you cards equal to its power. The deck's plan is to grow one massive creature (Doubling Season-class effects like Branching Evolution and Corpsejack Menace), then convert that body into card draw and table-wide life loss through sacrifice outlets and drain permanents like Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat. Recursion via Cauldron of Essence, Victimize, and Chthonian Nightmare keeps the loop going. The deck closes the game through mass-sacrifice drain turns, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord flinging a huge creature, or a single overwhelming combat swing.
