The REAL Avatar Aang by user7078460

Format: Commander

Commander: Grizzlegom, Hurloon Hero

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a land-matters Rulebreaker deck helmed by Grizzlegom, Hurloon Hero. Although the color identity is only Gruul, the commander's Rulebreaker clause lets the 99 run any lands, so the list packs Plains, Islands, Swamps, and utility duals alongside dense green ramp. The plan is to flood the board with lands, turn them into every basic type via Prismatic Omen, Dryad of the Ilysian Grove, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, and Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth, then attack with Grizzlegom for a stacked trigger: Soldiers, cards, table-wide drain, +1/+1 counters, and life. Extra-combat pieces (Aggravated Assault, Bumi, Unleashed) and trigger doublers (Wulfgar of Icewind Dale, Roaming Throne) convert that attack into a kill. Secondary paths include Scute Swarm go-wide, Ashaya, Soul of the Wild combat loops, and big land-creature beaters like Cultivator Colossus and Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender.
