Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Rakdos treasure-dragon deck is built around Smaug the Impenetrable's indestructible, hasty body and its triggered ability to create Treasures whenever it is dealt noncombat damage. The primary game plan is to deploy a drain effect (Reckless Fireweaver, Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice), cast Smaug, then hit it with a mass-damage spell like Blasphemous Act to generate an enormous burst of Treasures-amplified by Academy Manufactor and Xorn-and drain the table to death in a single turn. Secondary wins include Knuckles the Echidna's 30-artifact alternate condition and combat damage from other dragons. The deck leverages a dense ritual package (Dark Ritual, Seething Song, Cabal Ritual) and premium tutors (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Imperial Seal) to assemble its combo quickly, while the commander's haste lets it attack immediately if needed.
