Obuun, Landfall Mania

Format: Commander

Commander: Obuun, Mul Daya Ancestor

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Naya landfall deck helmed by Obuun, Mul Daya Ancestor, built to ramp aggressively, trigger landfall as many times per turn as possible, and convert that into a board of huge animated lands, Elemental/Beast tokens, and +1/+1 counter synergies. The primary plan is to flood the battlefield with lands via Farseek, Kodama's Reach, Harrow, and Roiling Regrowth, then cash in with payoffs like Scute Swarm, Rampaging Baloths, Omnath, Locus of Rage, and Felidar Retreat. Obuun turns a land into an X/X trample haste attacker each combat and pumps counters via his landfall trigger. The deck wins through overwhelming combat - either a wide token swarm, a single enormous animated land, or Omnath, Locus of Rage's death triggers - with Return of the Wildspeaker as an overrun finisher. It is a classic midrange value deck with no fast combo lines.
