Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger and storm deck helmed by Vivi Ornitier. The primary strategy centers on landing Vivi early, protecting it with cheap interaction, and chaining low-mana instants and sorceries. Every noncreature spell grows Vivi with +1/+1 counters and deals 1 damage to each opponent. Vivi's activated ability converts its growing power into bursts of red and blue mana, sustaining long storm sequences. The deck features exceptional synergy with Curiosity, which draws up to three cards per cast when enchanting Vivi, quickly fueling the hand. Backup win conditions include the deterministic Niv-Mizzet, Parun plus Curiosity infinite combo, recursion loops with Festival of Embers, and a lethal Crackle with Power. With robust countermagic and 1-mana protection spells, the deck reliably pivots into an explosive single-turn win around Turn 5.
