Deck overview

This mono-black artifact aristocrats list is helmed by Imotekh the Stormlord, transforming artifact graveyard recursion into overwhelming board presence and lethal combo loops. The deck accelerates through early mana rocks and rituals into a Turn 4 engine assembly, pairing Imotekh with sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar or Krark-Clan Ironworks. From there, it rapidly transitions into infinite death-and-rebirth loops using Nim Deathmantle or modular construct lines with Scrap Trawler and Myr Retriever. These loops generate infinite 2/2 Necron Warrior tokens and colorless mana, which are immediately channeled into game-ending drain effects through Disciple of the Vault, Marionette Apprentice, and Psychomancer. Independent backup lines center around Bolas's Citadel and Sensei's Divining Top with Aetherflux Reservoir to storm out the table without needing the commander. While the list lacks countermagic and stack protection, its dense suite of premier tutors, flexible reanimation spells, and resilient recursion allows it to recover swiftly and reliably threaten a Turn 5 table elimination.
