Ur-Dragon by Forcebender

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a five-colour Dragon tribal deck helmed by The Ur-Dragon, leveraging its eminence cost reduction and potent battlefield trigger to bury opponents in card advantage and explosive board development. The primary game plan is to deploy cost reducers and ramp early, then chain together high-impact Dragons - Atarka, World Render for double strike, Thrakkus the Butcher for power doubling, and Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient for massive post-combat mana - to overwhelm the table with flying combat damage. Secondary win conditions include the incremental +1/+1 counter milestone provided by Call the Spirit Dragons and the sheer tempo of cheating permanents from hand via the commander's attack trigger. The deck relies on overwhelming threat density rather than infinite combos, supported by a manageable interaction suite and a recursion package that allows it to recover from wipes.
