Commander: Piru, the Volatile

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Mardu deck helmed by Piru, the Volatile is a highly synergistic "damage reflection" build. The core strategy revolves around creatures that damage opponents when they themselves are dealt damage (Boros Reckoner, Brash Taunter, Mogg Maniac, Spitemare, and others) combined with damage redirection auras and equipment (Pariah, Pariah's Shield, Gideon's Sacrifice) and the enchantment Guilty Conscience that creates an infinite damage loop. The deck packs a massive suite of damage-based board wipes (Blasphemous Act, Chain Reaction, Slagstorm, Earthquake) that double as combo enablers, triggering the reflection creatures and wiping the board simultaneously. Card advantage comes from discard-draw spells and treasure generation, while Piru provides a flying lifelinker with a death-triggered board wipe. The primary win condition is assembling an infinite damage loop with any reflection creature and Guilty Conscience or {{Pariah]] (and a damage source), often killing all opponents in a single turn.
