Deck overview

This is a Gruul earthbending landfall deck helmed by Toph, Hardheaded Teacher. The core plan turns lands into hasty creature-lands via earthbend triggers, then floods the board with extra land drops and Lesson payoffs that pile extra +1/+1 counters onto those lands. Toph, Hardheaded Teacher earthbends on every spell (with a Lesson bonus) and can bounce an instant or sorcery from the graveyard on entry, but the 99 already carries redundant earthbenders, landfall engines, and combo lines that function without her. Primary wins come from wide trampling land-creature combat amplified by extra-combat pieces (Aggravated Assault, Bumi, Unleashed), supported by landfall pings, Avenger of Zendikar swarms, and sacrifice outlets. The deck plays as a ramp-heavy midrange strategy that converts a critical mass of animated lands into lethal multi-combat turns.
